About Bernie
Bernie grew up in Sheffield and built his career in performance measurement and consulting before turning that expertise towards helping UK small-business owners. His frustration with the scattered, jargon-heavy advice available to founders — particularly those setting up their first limited company or filing their first self-assessment return — was the direct motivation for creating FasScale.
As a consultant he learned that most operational problems come down to unclear goals, poor measurement, and lack of a structured process. FasScale is his attempt to give every UK micro-entrepreneur the structured workflow and plain English guidance that large companies take for granted.
His 21 published books cover performance measurement, KPI design, and management frameworks. Several are used as reference texts by finance teams and business-improvement consultants. He continues to run Made to Measure KPIs alongside FasScale and lives in Sheffield.
